Antoni Gaudi, the singular genius whose work epitomises a certain period in the development of Barcelona, and who is known around the world, designed this cabinet handle for the Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera).  Its unusual form results from Gaudi’s experiments modelling in clay to find the most comfortable shape to hold, an early application of what is now known as ergonomics.
