Privacy Turn / Adrian Weidmann

The wooden bathroom privacy turn has a minimal rounded form and echoes the design of the lever handle on a smaller scale, with the facing side flat and the opposite arched for ease of use, and the circular section that meets the complementary metal rose. There is an additional emergency coin release, in brass, that completes the set. The turn is standardly available in three timbers: oiled London plane, oak and maple, and a dark ebonised finish, all naturally oiled. izé offers the unique service to produce this design from any reclaimed hardwoods, closing a project’s sustainability circle and reducing its carbon footprint. This also offers an opportunity to use wood from a restoration project to embed a buildings history and identity into its new environment.
