Roberto Serino is an architect based in Naples, Italy. He has had a successful career as a Professor at the University of Naples "Federico II" and at the University of Ferrara. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the KTH in Stockholm and at the Universities of Porto and Lisbon. His courses are well-regarded as a solid foundation for architectural research. In addition to his solo exhibition at the Haus der Architektur in Klagenfurt, he has participated in several collective exhibitions of Architecture and Design in Italy and abroad. Some of the notable exhibitions include “dal Futurismo al Futuro Possibile” in Tokyo in 2002, "Learning from Cities" at the Venice Biennale in 2006, and "Comunità Italia 1945-2000" at the Milan Triennale in 2016. His ongoing research focuses on interior architecture serving as authentic laboratories of experimentation. One notable project is the art garden "Hortus Conclusus" in the historic center of Benevento (1992) featuring sculptures by Mimmo Paladino, along with residential buildings and a river park in the same area. He is currently working on the completion of the Circumvesuviana Railway Station of Castellammare di Stabia. Furthermore, Roberto Serino has contributed to architectural culture through the publication of several scientific essays and his works have been featured in national and international magazines.
