McLaren Excell is an award winning architecture and interiors practice based in London, founded in 2011 by Luke McLaren and Robert Excell. The studio works across private and commercial projects, with a design led approach rooted in craft, clarity and a strong sense of place. Their work is characterised by calm, carefully resolved architecture, developed through close collaboration with clients, consultants and makers, and informed by a deep understanding of materials, construction and how buildings are made and lived in over time. McLaren Excell has enjoyed working closely with izé on the design of 3 bespoke door handles for Fitzrovia House. The collaboration reflects a shared interest in craft, proportion and materiality, with the handles conceived as integral elements within the overall architectural language of the building.
