Chiltern Firehouse
Archer Humphryes Architects
When Archer Humphryes Architects designed the Chiltern Firehouse hotel and restaurant for client André Balazs, they knew that for this, his first hotel in Europe, every detail would have to be right.
Crucial to this design were the hotel locks on the doors to the 26 suites. In keeping with the domestic nature of the overall design, these are doors that lock with keys, but with conventional hotel security functions. Izé was responsible for commissioning the locks, with their elegant plates, and for the casting of the individual keys.
