For the refurbishment of a penthouse at the top of the Albion Riverside development in Battersea, architect Foster Lomas created a dramatic and varied series of spaces, including a ‘floating’ mezzanine. The effect, of curves, luxury and surprise, required the architect to pay attention to every detail.

The practice’s Will Foster designed a bespoke door handle for the inside of the curved ante-chamber entrance space. The reflective surface of the lacquered timber panelling is picked up in the curved profile and polished chrome finish of the handle.
